New Connections, A New Direction

This week of ISM greatly comprised of building professional contacts for the journey ahead, as well as connecting with these professionals from our industry of interest so as to set up upcoming informational interviews. The major highlight of this week's journey would be the Business Symposium Event conducted on the 8th of October, 2020. This event was set up to conduct mock interviews with professionals from various industries. This gave me great professional direction and advice for the journey ahead, as well as helped my perspective on the conduct of professional interviews.
The professionals I had the opportunity to interview- Jenifer Florence, Jon Rottermond, and Christen Lockett- all gave me knowledgeable insight into various aspects of the industries they are a part of. They also gave effective advice on my topic and helped me build my network further through some of their contacts. Thanks to their advice, I know a bit more about the networking and technical approach I should have for my project henceforth. I'd like to thank all the professionals who were a part of the Business Symposium Event for their time, advice, and for the uplifting experience.
As of this week, I am in the process of setting up informational interviews with the connections I have made and look forward to gaining a stronger base knowledge for my research and path ahead.
