Strategies with the Order Book

For the past week of ISM, I have worked on my Research Speech Presentation Video. The aim of the presentation was to showcase what I have been doing as part of ISM thus far. In the video, I explain in-depth why I have chosen my topic of study of Quantitative Analysis of Financial Markets. I further talk about the wonderful professionals I interviewed, as well as the various articles I have researched to aid me in my original work.

As part of our peer reviews, I found out the areas I fell short in and am working to make sure they do not occur from the next presentation.

Continuing my original work, I am researching order book level quotes, also referred to as Level II quotes on the NASDAQ. By plotting out volumes of buy and sell orders, overall market sentiment can be assessed. We can thus find out if the majority sentiment in the market is to buy the security or sell the security. I could be able to use this as an advantage in assessing price movements. If found to be a successful strategy, this will surely be included in my finalized group of strategies and algorithms. I look forward to testing once I have more strategies researched.
